Yasthimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is sweet & cooling which soothes the irritation caused by acids. Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has been found to be effective in the treatment of atonic dyspepsia. It is a mild purgative so it is also used to treat digestive and acidity complaints in infants and young children. Jeera (Cuminum cyminum) has long been considered a stimulant and carminative.
